Vaccination/ Trip to the doctor
Natalia's two-month check up at the the doctor went as smoothly as it could. The doctor recomended letting Natalia cry herself to sleep to get her into sleeping well at night, advice we are very reluctant to follow. She also got her first shots-4 needles to the legs! She took it as well as she could have. She was relatively calm afterwards, but her parents are still recovering from the trauma....
Sleep training, part 2
Natalia has gotten a little better with sleeping more at night. We continue to try to get her to be a little less "high maintainence" with falling asleep. She now usually sleeps from before 10 until around 8 in the morning with one or two feedings. Her episodes of late night waking seem to have stopped, for the moment. We continue to try to balance conflicting opinions and our own instincts to try to get Natalia into healthy sleep habits.

Sleep Training Begins
Following the guidance of our fellow raisers of babies and our friends Melissa and Kieran who have recommended a sleep guide, we are starting to put together a plan that may, some day, allow us both to sleep through the night. It is amazing and humbling how the simplest of things can be so perplexing at times.

Groundhog Day weekend
Natalia has had some pretty long nights in the last week or two. She seems to make up the sleep quite easily, but it is not so easy for us. Needless to say, we were happy to get a little relief from Nana this weekend. Natalia was also very pleased. She is smiling more and more. She will also take long and inquisitive looks at our faces.
